Thermistor units are available in resistance values from 0.2 ohms to 100k ohms at 25 C degree. Thermistors are widely used in variety of temperature measurement and compensation applications such as electronic thermometers.

 A thermistor is a type of resistor whose resistance is dependent on temperature. Resistors are always made of ceramic or metal composites. NTC thermistor is actually the temperature sensor that uses the resistance properties of these resistors to measure the temperature.
